Snow Day

Yesterday we woke up to a couple inches of snow and the announcement every kid loves to hear "no school"!! Rocky's district also cancelled school for the day so the whole family was home. It was a nice surprise and we enjoyed having an extended weekend. After breakfast the kids bundled up and headed out for some fun in the powder. Amelia wasn't so sure about it while she was watching out the window but once she got playing in it she loved it. She calls it "ho ho" as everything representing Christmas and winter is "ho ho."

Sunday night my parents and Uncle Ry and Auntie Kristen joined us for the afternoon and dinner. We had a fun visit and it was great to catch up. The kids just can't get enough of their auntie and uncle. After dinner we all just sat around the table visiting...throwing out baby names, making paper airplanes and Maggie did some beautiful hairdos on Auntie. If only I had some pics to post! I love Sunday dinner with the family and I know these are the memories our kids will cherish.

Here's some pics from yesterday. I wish I had some of Sam....he took off with the neighborhood gang before I could get the camera out.

It's a girl!

Okay, so I know this blog comes out of nowhere but I do believe my wonderful sis-in-law Kristen has dropped more than enough hints...yes, the Poulins are indeed adding another monkey to the zoo! Another girl monkey! I'm 15 weeks along and due to some early screening tests we found out today that we're having a healthy baby girl! Praise God! The kids are so thrilled and after just a few tears Sam realized being the only boy isn't such a bad deal after all. We're just counting on the Dacey side of the family to do their part and give us some boys!

Now that I'm back on I promise to be a more faithful blogger and add some fun pics of our fall and Christmas..not tonight but soon!
