Arizona
Oh can we please go back to the warm weather??!! Our family was so blessed to take a wonderful, much needed vacation in sunny and very hot Phoenix. Thanks to our great friends David and Tonya we had a beautiful home to stay in complete with pool and hot tub. We had such a fun time soaking up the sun, playing in the pool and spending sweet time with our friends. I have to say the weather was almost shocking as we are used to the low-mid 4o's here in the Northwest and Phoenix was experiencing an early heat wave. At one point on Monday our car thermometer read 100! Nice in air conditioning but not so comfortable when you're trying to take your three kids on a tour of Arizona State University! Here's some pics in no particular order since I'm still getting the hang of adding images!
At a theme park called "Rawhide." It's set up like an old ghost town. Sam's favorite part was riding the mechanical bull and Maggie loved riding on a burrow.
Rock and Maggie enjoying the bumper boats. Sam had his own boat and was completely soaked when he got off!
Sam and JD. Sam would like to take credit for teaching JD how to walk. Sam was working with him the first night we were there and the next day he was taking off. Something tells me he was pretty close already!! This was our first time meeting JD-he's such a sweetie and an easy going kiddo!
Amelia and Ella having some dinner. Ella has grown so much since our last visit and was so much fun! She seemed to develop a little crush on Sam before our visit was over. He has a way with the young gals!
Sam preparing to mount the wild bull!
The girls and I take a break in the shade on the ASU campus.
Hot, hot, Hot!!
I'm so thankful we had the opportunity to take this trip with the kids. In a couple months our family dynamics are going to change once again and it was so special to sit back and be thankful for the wonderful children we have and also take a deep breath and prepare for the next one to join us! I'll leave you with a fun little clip of the kids playing instruments with the Rawhide band.
