Just a few little lovelies from our yard! On the side of our house is a garden that has been named after Amelia. The first few months of her life I would put her in the baby swing next to the window and work right outside so I could keep an eye on her while working in the garden. The garden was a disaster when we first moved in so it needed a lot of love and care and Amelia granted me many hours to do this while she was swinging away...it only seemed appropriate to give her some credit!

Roses from Amelia's garden

I have to give Amelia a few more props as she was so eager to help me plant this past spring. My belly was so big that I could just manage to dig the holes and Millie threw in the seeds. She did a great job as we are enjoying beautiful zucchinis and lots of pumpkins are on the way. She's always so excited to head to the garden with me to check on the fruits of our labor. Maybe all that swinging in the window paid off and she'll have a green thumb!

This past week Maggie and I had a little photo shoot to help build the excitement for the start of school. She dressed up in a few outfits, did a few poses and I snapped away. It's always fun to try on those new school clothes. I'm also determined to make our mornings a happier time on school days and I know the best way to do this is by getting organized. Along with other strategies I plan on implementing I'm going to make her a little book with her photos so she can flip through and decide what she wants to wear the night before and lay her clothes out so she's all ready in the morning. This has been one of our biggest battles in the morning so I'm hoping this will ease the stress a bit. Now the pressure will be on to keep up with the laundry! Anything to make mornings run smoother. Check with me week two and I'll let you know how things are going!

Of course Millie had to get in on the action! P.S. We can hardly get her out of a leotard since the Olympics started! Watch out Shawn Johnson..here comes Millie Mae!

That is a great idea about the book of clothes to help her pick out her clothes! Millie and Maggie both look so cute--you got some models on your hands!
