Valentine Treats

I've never been much of a Valentine girl. Oh. I loved exchanging the little cards in Elementary school and my mom always did something sweet for us Valentine morning. We would get up to treats sitting at our spot at the table. But as an adult it has never been one of those holidays I get too excited for. Then four years ago our sweet Millie Mae was born on Valentine's Day and now it is one of my favorite days of the year! I have carried on my mom's tradition of sweet surprises and now this year we're adding a fun tradition of Valentine fortune cookies. I would love to take credit for these cute little cookies but I found the idea and step-by-step instructions over at this amazing blog. Inside the fortune cookies are sweet love letters and bible verses. The kids love getting to open up a little treat each morning and it's an encouraging way to start their day.
