Because I have failed to write about my new adventures with Noonday Collection on this blog I thought I would take this opportunity to share how it all began.
Noonday Collection first came to my attention several years ago when we were in the thick of the adoption waiting game. I would spend a lot of time perusing adoption blogs where I found encouragement and inspiration in the wait. It was on a late night blog bunny trail that I came across the Noonday site. Noonday was in the very early stages and I thought what a beautiful ministry being created. But it wasn't until a couple years later that I actually attended my first Noonday Trunk Show. That show happened to be an adoption fundraiser for a dear friend. Of course I fell in love with the gorgeous products but even more I was taken by the beautiful artisans. At this point we had been home with our Ethiopian son for a few months and my view on adoption had been transformed and while I will always be an advocate for adoption I will first be a voice for family preservation. Noonday is a beautiful embodiment of of both.
Noonday is offering opportunity for mothers to provide for their children. Orphan care and prevention are at the core of Noonday and this spoke to my heart because no parent should ever have to choose. Their scope of advocacy is great and they have joined forces with International Justice Mission to be a voice for those oppressed by violence. They then provide care and opportunity for these survivors as they are picking up the pieces of their torn lives. These are precious women that desire the same things you and I want for our families. To provide them safety, love, hope and dreams. This is what I love about Noonday Collection- it is a group of women cheering, supporting and loving other women from worlds away but with so very much in common.
This past June I had the amazing privilege of returning to Ethiopia along with my thirteen year old daughter. As the mother of five kiddos, three of them being girls, I want my children to know what a great big world we live in. I want them all to know what we have been given and what responsibility comes with that. I want their hearts to be broken for what breaks God's and I want them to know deep in their core that even though we have much in the world of material wealth we are so often lacking in the true joy that comes from desiring nothing but Jesus. My daughter was able to experience so much beauty in the broken. I believe she will forever be changed by her time in Ethiopia and her heart is to return as soon as God makes a way.
While in Ethiopia we were able to visit the women doing the extravagant work behind the Noonday Collection pieces. Oh what dear women they are. When we shared that two of us were ambassadors they were so touched and thankful. But it was really us that were thankful and oh so admirable of the work they are doing. As I watched them bead and thread and talk and laugh together I couldn't help but think how similar we truly are. It was a blessing to see these women at their craft.
I love all the Noonday Collection pieces but Ethiopia has a dear place in my heart. So because of my love for this country and because we got to get a sneak peek at this piece my giveaway is the Everyday Artillery Bracelet. A gorgeous new bracelet that was added to the Ethiopian line this fall.

i love how great a job Noonday does with telling specific artisan stories and following them year after year. Noonday is legit -- that's what I always tell people. It's quality, with heart and soul.
i'm loving the new line! the sofiya wrap bracelet is one of my favs.
I love the beautiful handmade pieces! The women who make them certainly are artists and I am glad they have been given an opportunity to find satisfaction, not to mention a living, by doing the work. I am especially loving the Indian pieces this time around. I would buy everything if I could afford it!
I love Noonday and I love your story! Thanks for sharing!
I love everything about Noonday! Especially all they do for the vulnerable in our world. My fav piece is the everyday artillery bracelet! But I also love the dainty paper beads as well!
I posted but I don't see it so I hope it worked!
I love how Noonday supports adoption and also support family preservation by providing ways for people to support themselves and their family. I really like reading the artisan stories too.
If I just posted three times, I apologize! I love Noonday for empowering these beautiful women! I am thankful that we were able to see the artisans i action while we were in Ethiopia...it is a picture I will never forget. I am thankful for you for always being such an incredible advocate!
I didn't know you sell noonday! I love their wrap bracelets but my favorites are the ones made in Ethiopia, of course :)
What do I NOT love about Noonday?! I love how many women's lives are not only touched but CHANGED by Noonday! I love that their families are provided for... I love that so many of the materials are recycled materials! Seriously everything! And when I saw you were giving away my FAVORITE bracelet in the new line I had to enter :). The artillery and the everest wrap are my current faves!!!
I knew you were now an ambassador but it was great to hear your story of how that came to be. I love your heart, friend.
I love Noonday for empowering women and breaking the cycle of poverty. It's fun to wear all their amazing pieces, but even better to get the opportunity to share a little of the story behind it when someone asks you where you got it!

I love that Noonday empowers women and children. My favorite pieces are those made from recycled artillery. It seems right to give a voice to those subjected by these wars. Favorite piece from the Fall collection is the Bronzed bar necklace.
The Kantha Bag is my favorite!!
I love that Noonday puts family preservation first and how they love to support families in the process of adoption. I also love that they allow and encourage you to meet the artisans themselves if you are ever in country!
I love the stories behind each piece Noonday sells. And I am in love with the Moondrop Earrings from this new line - they would go with practically anything!!
that artillery bracket is one of my current favorites! I just recently found out about Noonday and can't wait to go to my first trunk show next week :)
Great post! :)
Love this post, thanks for sharing your story! And this bracelet, amazing!!
There are so many things to love about Noonday. But I think I like the community it has created the most. While I don't know any of the artisans or ambassadors or other Noonday fans... I feel a special connection or love towards my beautiful sisters because of the jewelry and the stories that come from Noonday. I know that may sound silly but it truly is a community of beautiful mamas, wives and God-followers.
And I have to say I am in love with everything from this line but being a sucker for beautiful bags the Andean bag has taken first place
I love the stories of redemption that come along with the beautiful jewelry!
everything i read about noonday, i just love. we need some east coast noonday action!
I love all the pieces in the fall collection, and the fact that it's beautiful jewerly supporting wonderful people!
I love Noonday because it empowers women and it helps them provide for their families. It keeps families together when possible and helps fund adoptions when staying together is not an option. Noonday is simply beautiful -- and not just the jewelry. It's LOVE in action.
I love how Noonday gives everyday women an opportunity to support themselves *and* women across the world.
I love the heart behind Noonday: equipping women to care for their families. I'm an adoptive mama, and my heart is to keep birth families together whenever possible. No woman should be face the decision to place her child for adoption due to financial difficulties. I support companies like Noonday that give women meaningful employment.
I LOVE the rustic leather tote! I also absolutely love the mission of Noonday, how could you not?!
Love the outlet it gives for women and the awareness it gives to the rest of us.
Kismet day bag is a favorite!!
I don't have any pieces but I love the Ethiopian pieces and like you Ethiopia is very near and dear to my heart. I love these artillery pieces!
