Tom Petty said it was the harderst part. I have to agree. I'm not gonna lie, the past couple weeks the wait has really been getting to me. This is especially tough considering we know we still have quite a chunk of time ahead of us and our agency just extended the average wait time to about 18 months. There is so much for us to learn in this season of waiting. So much to hand over to Him and trust in His perfect timing. In the past couple weeks a couple things have come up that might seem like they are open doors for us to move another direction with our adoption. We've had to examine those and pray. Right now I believe we're right where we're supposed to be. It's hard knowing it will be a lot longer before we see our son's face but we are trusting in His plan and until we feel He's leading us down another path then we're staying put and waiting. We are blessed that in this wait we have four monkeys that keep us constantly on our toes and moving! The latest pastime...baseball! Yep, three kids playing ball makes for some busy weeks around here! This past week we had 11 games scheduled. Due to the crazy weather we had a couple cancelled but still managed to get 9 games in!
This is Millie's first year playing t-ball and she LOVES it! Sometimes I wonder if she's paying any attention out there in the field but somehow she seems to wake right up when the ball is heading her way. She has some of her best friends on her team and truly looks forward to going to games and practices.
Not only does she have a great lil' team full of friends but she also has the best t-ball coach ever! So fun to have friends coaching your kids.
Sam is having a great season of ball and moved into a new division this year. He's a pretty speedy guy and loves base stealing. I lost track at six stolen bases in his first game on Saturday.
And what ball player would be complete without a mouthful of seeds?
I didn't get any pics of Maggie playing this weekend but she had a great game on Saturday too. She plays with a fun group of girls and loves her time with the team.
And after such a long week of baseball, friends and sunshine this princess crashed!
The waiting is the hardest part
Every day you get one more yard
You take it on faith, you take it to the heart
The waiting is the hardest part
{Tom Petty}
But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord,
I wait for God my Savior;
my God will hear me.

Ok, that verse is going on several sicky notes right now and I am placing it all over my house, car, computer, etc. I agree, the wait is extra hard right now for some reason. Thanks for sharing!
I agree, the wait is hard! Love that verse...so encouraging!
Waiting right along with you...praying for some referrals this week! It's about time for some excitement with AGC!!
Sounds like you and I ought to get together! I HEAR YA!
Janet...we need to get together! Let's plan something soon! I would love to have you guys over this way. And Courtney, Alison and Meg...wish you could be here too!! Not sure how we'd get through this tough stuff without our awesome AGCI family!!
Hang in there!! You WILL see your SWEET little one. Throughout our wait, I felt the Lord gently reminding me to TRUST and STAND on HIS promises. He even gave us a couple of RAINBOWS..on bright and sunny days to see HIM when we were blinded by our lack of faith or weary hearts of waiting. He WILL come through for you...and your reward will be great..and so worth it!!
:-)
Praying for all who wait!
