Happy Birthday Sammy!

Our Sammy is nine years old today! Nine years old...I'm having a hard time with that-Rocky and I both are. Maybe because it's his last year as a single digit or maybe because if the next nine years go as fast as the past nine our baby will officially be an adult...ughh! I'm not ready for nine or what lies beyond that. I just want to capture him where he is right now-my energetic, sensitive, fun-loving kiddo who still likes to cuddle up and read with me and isn't embarrassed when I kiss and hug him in public. He is such a super kid and people have a tendency to be drawn to Sam-young and old. Sam is a pro with little kids and never hesitates to get down at their level to talk, play or give hugs. His preschool teachers used to joke that he was either going to be a teacher or a politician when he grows up. He has a very sensitive heart and like his mom oftens sheds a tear or two during the sad parts of movies. We are so proud of our boy and while we would love to keep him right where he is we also look forward to seeing the great young man he will become! We love you Samuel Ryan!!

Catching up

I can't believe the kids have been out of school a whole week. The summer is flying by already. We've managed to fit in basketball camp and a some sleepovers too. Last Saturday Sam and Rocky met up with Luke Wilbanks and finished his walk into Enumclaw. If you don't know Luke check out my sis-in-law Kristen's blog to read a fantastic bio on Luke. Sam and Maggie think the world of him and what a great role model! The girls waited at Starbucks and enjoyed our coffee and treats while the crew made their way into town. It was a great morning.

The kids finished up their baseball/t-ball seasons the last week of school and it's nice to have some nights free again. They both had a fun time and Sam's looking forward to playing summer ball...he just can't get enough!

We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of baby Josie or Jo-Jo as the kids have already started calling her. I had an appointment last week and my doctor moved my date from the 7th to the 1st. I feel like anytime now would be super!! I really can't complain because for the most part I feel good..it's just hard to sleep. I'm just really looking forward to meeting this new little one.

Maggie at her T-ball awards. Her coach named her "favorite girl" on the team(she was the only girl on her team):) And she was a great sport about it!
Sam and his buddies at his last game. They were so cute. They won their last game and it might as well have been game 7 of the World Series with all the excitement they showed!

Luke and his sidekicks! Getting ready for the last leg of a very long journey!
