Brace Face

One year and one day ago this sweet smile went from this......

to this.......

 And today we went from this.....

to this.....

Are they beautiful or what? Of course this mama thought her smile was gorgeous with the braces too but those pearly whites sure are nice! I can't believe how old she looks! Now we enter phase #2 (whatever that means) top retainer, permanent bottom retainer and continue with the head gear at night. She is pretty tickled with her new smile. Just a little side note....if you've been around Maggie Lu at all you know that she loves to talk and she often speaks with a slight accent. For a nine year old she is quite the conversationalist and  often catches adults off guard with her chatter. The ladies at our orthodontist are quite fond of her and just think she's a hoot. Today when the assistant walked her out to me in the waiting room she said "She is the best! We always have so much fun when she's here and I hope she never loses that Boston accent."  So while I am thrilled with her new shiny smile I am most appreciative of the shiny spirit inside! Love you Lu!
