I spoke too soon!

Just when I thought we were heading in the right direction the fever hits! Sam woke me up around 3 o'clock this morning with a fever of 102. I know kids have fevers all the time but really mine don't. Rarely will my kids have a fever-even when they are sick with an ear infection or strep throat-no fever. So I'm always a bit alarmed when I see those numbers on the thermometer. He was able to take a couple ibuprofen and drink some water and by 5 o'clock the fever had broke. He woke up feeling fine and ready to go to school but I thought in consideration of other kiddos I'd keep him home. Hopefully that was the extent of the latest bug to hit the Poulin household. And of course Millie is thrilled to have her brother home with her today! It's always nice to have a playmate for playdough and shooting hoops!

Bad Blogger

I've been a terrible blogger lately. I'm so behind on documenting and posting pictures. It seems like the last six weeks there is it least one person in this household that's sick making it hard to get much of anything done around here! I think we're all hopefully on the mend and with spring(technically)here maybe we're done with sharing the bugs. The big kids are busy, busy and looking forward to having a week off for spring break. They both had a super fun basketball season and Maggie has declared basketball her favorite sport and was so bummed to see the season end. I'm not sure what she's loves more..playing the game or having her dad for a coach. Sam started guitar lessons this past month and is enjoying it but like all kiddos doesn't appreciate the nagging to go practice. He's also playing baseball and is loving having his dad as one of his coaches.

The little girls are keeping me busy and on my toes. Josie is getting awfully quick with her rolling ability. Not a ton of interest in crawling yet but can get just about anywhere with her rolls. She also scooted her way out of her car seat a couple times and today found a way out of the bumbo. I guess the days of turning my back for a minute are over! She's such a sweet, happy girl and it's hard for all of us to resist those cheeks. She's also getting two teeth on top. They are the first to come in and they're her lateral incisors so she's gonna be sporting the vampire look for a bit. Millie is just Millie and cracks me up all day long. She is such a fun kid and I feel so blessed I get to spend my days with her.

Well that was the monkeys in a nut shell. Hopefully more to come. I've been working hard on starting up a fun little side business making party decor for kids' birthday parties. I'm hoping to share some new stuff soon!

Here's a few pics of Jo with her latest trick. She loves to put stuff in her mouth and just let it hang there for the longest time. She'll just go about her busines with whatever toy it is just hanging out her mouth. That's a plastic hot dog from Millie's kitchen set in the first picture(Uncle Ryan can appreciate that one)!

Sweet baby boy

Adorable Atticus James was born on March 4th to Shelly and Kris (Rocky's sister). He is just yummy and at minutes old he looks all boy. I was so honored to be in the room when he was born. I'm not sure there's anything more amazing than the miracle of birth and there is something very special about being part of the process when you're not the one laboring! We are so thankful for this sweet little bean and so excited to have another boy in the family. There have been 5 babies born since Sam and they're all girls! So this side of the family was due for a little one in blue!!
After a good swaddling

Just minutes old

Welcome to the family baby Atticus!
