This came in the mail a couple days ago. I'm so excited to start reading it....again. I read it last fall but I borrowed it from a friend. I'm looking forward to reading my own copy equipped with my highlighter and pen. Besides the Bible, this is one of the most powerful books I've ever read. The cover reads "The answer that changed my life and might just change the world." That's a huge statement but one I believe is completely possible. The author takes us through the "hole" that has been made in the whole gospel that Jesus preached. It challenges Christians to move out of the comfort and walls of our churches and be the hands and feet of Jesus. To show compassion until it hurts and that by doing nothing we are in disobedience. My words really don't to it justice..you must read it yourself!
The whole gospel is a vision for ushering in God's kingdom-now, not in some future time, and here, on earth, not in some distant heaven. What if two billion people(the number that claim to be Christians) embraced the vision of God transforming our world-through them? Imagine it. Indeed, what if even two thousand people took their faith to the next level-what might God do? Two thousand years ago, the world was changed forever by just twelve. It can happen again.
