{Merry Christmas}

We already received the best gift we could possibly get this year. On Monday we moved from the papework phase of our adoption journey to the waiting and we are officially .......

on the boys' list. And in the words of a very wise and encouraging friend...it's way better than 75! We celebrated our number with a little impromptu party with Grandma and Papa, Auntie and our sweet friends that brought over apple crisp with the 74 placed in the middle. We are just so happy to be a number finally! And the very same day this sweet little baby doll arrived in the mail. Guess what his name is? It's Henry!! He was listed at this etsy shop as Henry....of course I had to order him and put him in a safe place for when our Henry comes home. Check out Nicole's blog and etsy shop. All the funds from her shop go to support their adoption from Ethiopia. Have I mentioned yet how much I love the online blogging adopting mamas?! Love them!

We have had an amazing advent season that as always seem to fly by too quickly.

We finished reading the The Best Christmas Pageant Ever this afternoon. I struggled through the tears at the end of the book. If you've never read this book before whether your young or old....I encourage you~ add it to the list of traditions next year. Such a simple story that captures the true meaning.....the birth of our Saviour.

At the end when two of the characters are debating whether Jesus could have had colic or not these are the thoughts the main character shares....

"He could have had colic, or been fussy, or hungry like any other baby. After all, that was the whole point of Jesus-that he didn't come down on a cloud like something out of 'Amazing Comics,' but that he was born and lived.....a real person."
